<20 ng/ml (<50 nmol/l) -> 4,000 to 8,000 IU/day -> 4 to 8 weeks, then re-test

20 to 29 ng/ml (50 to 72.5 nmol/l) -> 2,000 to 4,000 IU/day -> 4 to 8 weeks, then re-test

30 to 50 ng/ml (75 to 125 nmol/l) -> less than 2,000 IU/day -> 4 to 8 weeks, then re-test

50 ng/ml (>125 nmol/l) -> Consume foods rich in vitamin D
