Is it true that creatine will only make me gain water weight and look bloated?

No - it’s a myth stemming from one of the earliest studies, where participants took high doses of creatine and, after a week, their total body water was measured. It did increase over that week.

However, further research showed that creatine does not increase total body water in the long term. If water in the body does increase, it’s due to the gain in muscle mass that creatine supports, but the overall percentage of water in the body and in the cells remains the same. So you definitely won’t “puff up” after taking creatine, and any weight gain will be mainly muscle, not water.

Studies also show that creatine does not damage the kidneys, does not harm the liver, and does not cause hair loss.

What’s the difference between cheap magnesium and Sleep Magnesium?

Cheap forms of magnesium often contain less bioavailable types, such as magnesium oxide. Compared to organic forms like magnesium bisglycinate, these forms have significantly lower absorption in the digestive tract (only 4%).

Sleep Magnesium also contains the active form of vitamin B6 - pyridoxal-5-phosphate - which directly contributes to the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone. On top of that, data shows that the combination of vitamin B6 and magnesium helps fight stress in individuals who experience very high levels of stress.

When should I drink an isotonic drink, and when should I take electrolytes?

Electrolyte Hydration Drink is suitable during any physical activity where you sweat.

Sports Iont Drink, in addition to electrolytes, also contains carbohydrates - an easily absorbed source of energy - and is especially suitable during physical activity lasting longer than 60-90 minutes.

Why is magnesium combined with vitamin B6?

Vitamin B6 supports magnesium bioavailability and its absorption into cells.

How much creatine do I need to take?

For normal functioning, a 70 kg person needs 2 grams of creatine per day, which they can get from a regular diet.

But “normal functioning” doesn’t mean maximum performance - so if you want to get the most out of creatine for performance, studies recommend a daily dose of 5 grams. Unfortunately, this dose isn’t realistically achievable through diet alone. There’s no need to take breaks from creatine or cycle it.
